James and Bram are back in this sequel to the bestselling A Bit of Rough! They've been dating a while, now, but James is still unsure about his feelings for Bram. He's rushed into things before, and it's always backfired on him, so James wants to take it slow.
Bram is so forceful, though, so sexy and convincing that it's hard to stand fast against him. In fact, Bram is the one steady thing in James' life, when everything else seems to be shifting like sand under his feet. His job is getting stressful, his apartment is getting dangerous, and James knows he's teetering on the brink of change, but is unsure what to choose.
When a project at work seems to have fallen under Bram's influence through the old boy network, James decides to back off and tell Bram they have to cool down their heated relationship. Bram is willing to accommodate James...to a point. But what happens when self-assured Bram has had enough of James' insecurity?
Taking up where A Bit of Rough left off, Roughhousing opens up Bram and James' relationship, following along as they become a real couple, and face the troubles that come from trying to blend two lives and two independent personalities. Their need for each other burns as hot as ever, but will that be enough to build a life on?

"ROUGHHOUSING continues right where A BIT OF ROUGH left off. Bram and James still have a lot of ground to cover on their path to true love and happily ever after. Bram is the quintessential alpha lover – larger than life, sexy as sin, and possessed of a compassionate heart that's willing to love the insecurity out of his lover. Bram is willing and able to be everything that James needs, making him a perfect fit for the angst-ridden architect. James is working hard at overcoming his insecurities, though he falls off the wagon every so often – but that's okay, Bram's shoulders are wide enough to share his burden. Laura Baumbach does a great job at detailing both heroes thought processes (especially James), so readers can delve into their psyches and see what makes them tick. As for the love scenes, they are hot enough to burn out your screen with just the right amount to kink to kick it up a notch.
Man love in all its glory, ROUGHHOUSING is one for the keeper shelf."

"Laura Baumbach has done it again. With her delightful storytelling, she has delivered a love story so powerful it brought tears to this reviewer's eyes. Roughhousing is the next chapter in her critically acclaimed book, A Bit of Rough and takes the reader on a journey of lovers explorations as two strong willed people learn to mesh two very different personalities and lives together. With her wit and prose, Ms. Braumbach delivers a one-two punch as she gets to the complexities of their relationship and the problems facing them through James's insecurity, problems at work, and the normal give and take of a relationship."

"James and Bram from Laura Baumbach's A BIT OF ROUGH have returned in ROUGHHOUSING. Experience the raw passion between these men and you'll see just why Ms. Baumbach's stories are creating such a stir among readers."
FallenAngelReviews.com"Once again, Ms. Baumbach has brought to life the wonderful characters of Bram and Jamie to her readers. Bram and Jamie are each one half of a whole and all they need to do is work through there own problems so they can truly be happy. Bram has a very strong personality and he needs someone who will allow him to dominate, at least in the bedroom, which makes Jamie ideal for him. Jamie wants someone who will take control in many aspects while letting him make his own decisions. When Jamie and Bram get together it is like lighting a match to gasoline, the scene is enjoyable for both Jamie and Bram as well as the reader. Thanks go to Ms. Baumbach for writing this sequel that the readers have been dying to read, including this reviewer!

There is something incredibly appealing about Bram and James together. The story of these two is beautiful to read. Laura Baumbach has the unique ability to bring them to life and at the same time dispel any myths someone may have as to being gay. Committed to each other and loving each other is something that should be accepted no matter who the participants may be. James had such a hard time finding himself loveable while Bram had no problem teaching and showing him otherwise. Incredibly sensitive, passionate and poignant, Roughhousing is an excellent addition to Laura Baumbach's library.
Laura Baumbach just keeps getting better. That's no small statement, considering that she was on the top of her game when she wrote A Bit of Rough, the first book centering on Bram and Jamie. But once you read Rough Housing, you'll see she was just getting started.
The sheer sexual tension in this book is unbelievable: the astronomical levels of need that blossom between Bram and Jamie at a fancy dinner party will take your breath away. For the first time, we see the pair's relationship in a social context -- Bram the bolder, Jamie working through a plethora of issues but determined to hold onto his love.
Readers will love this book for the exquisite story, the nerve jarring conflicts, the hot sex, the close inspection of Bram and especially Jamie's inner life.
